The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore) is organizing a conference on "Religion in Southeast Asian Politics: Resistance, Negotiation and Transcendence" on December 11-12, 2008. We are inviting potential participants to submit abstracts that address the intersections between the state and religion (institutionalized or otherwise) in Vietnam. Those interested are encouraged to write Dr Yew-Foong Hui (yfhui@iseas.edu.sg) for the "Call for Paper" ASAP, as the deadline for abstract submission is approaching very soon. Selected paper presenters will be provided with partial funding for travel and accommodations.
