Political ADD
Joe Lieberman's defeat at the hands of novie businessperson Ned Lamont in the Connecticut Democratic primary election reflects disapointment over the former VP candidate's support for the war in Iraq, of course, but it reminds me of a fear I had right after 9/11, when POTUS was saying that the GWOT would take years: do we really have patience for a war that lasts that long, especially in a 24-hour TV news cycle. Is it possible for any democracy? And how many bad guys realize this?
