"As many of you know, I've spent this Spring traveling around the country meeting pandora listeners, and doing research on local music scenes to fuel the Music Genome Project. I've seen Portland's thriving indie scene, soaked up SXSW, metthe next generation of artists at Dallas' Booker T. Washington High School forthe Performing Arts (home of Norah Jones and Erykah Badu), enjoyed ear-splitting hard rock at San Antonio's White Rabbit, visited the epicenter of Houston's chopped'n'screwed school of rap, explored what some in Louisiana have called "The Most Musical 125 miles on Earth," and the birthplace of the blues in Mississippi.
